PROPULSION is a support program dedicated to leaders of jazz projects in the broadest sense, from the Grand Est region, Luxembourg and French-speaking Belgium. A genuine boost for their carrier that offers two types of support: an artistic perspective and structuring around the challenges of distribution, production and communication.
Since its second edition, 2 sections have been offered to candidates:
PropulsionBANDS: designed for leaders of jazz projects, with structuring and artistic support.
PropulsionWOMEN: designed for female musicians wishing to explore the role of project leader.
Shared goals for both programs :
- Artistic mentoring throughout the program
- Training modules (structuring, production, distribution, communication)
- Cross-border mobility for a broader network
- Promotion of winners via partners and key events
Belgium, through FAZZ and Jazz Station, joined the scheme at PROPULSION #2 in 2023-2024, alongside Luxembourg and France. This project is part of a transmission cycle, devised by Stéphane Scharlé and Compagnie Tangram, to help musicians structure their careers effectively.
